Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the FAQ page, where you'll find answers to common questions about our philanthropic efforts and community support initiatives.

What is the RHSB Foundation Fund?

How does the RHSB Foundation support local non-profit organizations?

In 2017, we formalized our philanthropic strategy and established the RHSB Foundation Fund. In 2024, we moved our fund from CFT and are now a private foundation with 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service.

The RHSB Foundation is driven by the sponsorship of our “Throw Down” event, a Cornhole tournament, along with our employees internal fundraising campaigns and volunteering at non-profit organizations.

What is the "Throw Down" event?

The Throw Down is an annual Cornhole tournament held to raise money supporting donations from the foundation to two or more chosen non-profit beneficiaries from the community. The event raises money through sponsorships, participation, or donations. It is usually the first of November and has been held at Klyde Warren Park since it's inception.

RHSB employees donate through volunteering, raising money, or collecting in-kind donations for local non-profit organizations. Some of the organizations include the American Lung Association, The Senior Source, Hunger Busters, The Stew Pot, Cook Children's Hospital, DISD, Ebby House, and the Humane Society of North Texas.

How are beneficiaries selected to receive donations from the RHSB Foundation?

The RHSB Foundation committee selects non-profit organizations that are considered shining pillars of the community to receive donations from the foundation. These donations provide essential support for their impactful missions and endeavors.

How can I get involved in the RHSB Foundation's philanthropic initiatives?

You can participate in our annual Throw Down event, held each fall, usually in early November, or you can donate to our fund at any time. Your donation will support the beneficiaries chosen for the current year.
